For security reasons Google Voice Number are automatically locked. Your number is locked to prevent being transferred without your permission. So if you want to port your Google Voice number to another service provider such as Version, T-Mobile, AT&T and some others telecommunication services you’ve got to unlock your Google Voice Number before porting it to another telecommunication service provider. Google charges a one time fee of $3 to port your number away from Google Voice.
Step 1 :
Go to (www.google.com/voice/unlock ) and Sign-in into your Google Voice account
Step 2 :
If you have more than one Google voice number select the number that you want to unlock. Click on ‘Unlock My Number’ under your Google Voice Number.
Step 3 :
Click on Continue to conform that you want to unlock your number
Now you can easily port your Google Voice Number. Sign into your Google Wallet to complete the port-out process and make the payment for porting out.
If have change your mind and don’t want to port your Google Voice Number then you can easily re-lock your number.
